Coastal@VT Affiliate Eranga Galappaththi contributes to IPCC Assessment Report and has two recent publications
October 29, 2021 Center for Coastal Studies affiliate and geography assistant professor Eranga Galappaththi has an article out today in Nature Climate Change. According to Journal Citation Reports, this journal is ranked #1 and #2 in Environmental Studies and Environmental Sciences respectively. It is #1 in Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences. This work comes from Eranga’s role as a contributing author on two chapters for the IPCC 6th Assessment Report (Working Group II report is forthcoming). The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.
Eranga also has a article just out (Oct 22) in the journal One Earth, "Equity in human adaptation-related responses: A systematic global review" ( https://www.cell.com/one-earth/fulltext/S2590-3322(21)00484-X )
